Referencia: 00773/97.
While the main flamenco fashion catwalks such as SIMOF and WE LOVE FLAMENCO, show us the trends in flamenco fashion, today we review flamenco fashions that have stepped on the flamenco stage.
Printed polka dots
It is no surprise to say that the polka dot, the most flamenco print, could not be missing at the Feria de Sevilla. Many designers and public figures have opted for it, in all sizes and colors:
Yellow, orange, fuchsia, red... prêt-à-porter this year is full of bright colors. And flamenco joy could not be left behind either. As an example, this model of the well-known Anabel Pantoja or influencers Helena Cueva and Estíbaliz Prieto:
Rocío Osorno, one of the biggest influencers in Seville, also bets for white for the flamenca, a color that enhances the dark brown tones of skin and hair. So does the model and director We Love Flamenco catwalk Laura Sanchez, dressed in white in El Real:
A choice that usually comes from the hand of embroidered and perforated fabrics, usually in cotton, although we can find it on chiffon or other fabrics.

Another option are completely plain fabrics, with a wide variety of options depending on the cut or pattern of the suit itself, such as: knit, poplin or viscose.
ECO-PARAYAS. Reference: 03778-0001. Knitted fabric. Made with recycled fibers. GRS certified. Soft, with a lot of fall and stretches to both sides.
Eco-Parayas fabric is a knitted fabric made from GRS-certified recycled fibers con certificado GRS, , a commonly used fabric for practice skirts. It is soft, drapes well and stretches to both sides.
In Ravial we are specialized in flamenco fashion, among others. And one of the branches of this flamenco fashion is dance. A discipline danced all over the world where the fabric helps to give movement and spectacularity to such an incredible dance.
Therefore, today we analyze the different families of fabrics that best suit this discipline:
Knitted fabrics
When looking for a comfortable fabric, especially for rehearsal skirts, we must look at the interlock. An elastic fabric that only stretches to one side.
Flamenco dance: Origin of its dance, history and characteristics. Bailarinas de Ballet.
Model ORIA. Reference: 03501.Stretch knitted fabric 100% polyester. Silk knit. Printed in Ravial.
Also, we can choose a soft knit that stretches to both sides.
Model PARAYAS. Reference: 00755.Knitted fabric 96% polyester / 4% spandex. Soft, drapey and stretches to both sides.
Model OLVERA. Reference: 03500. Knitted fabric 96% polyester/ 4% spandex. Soft, drapey and stretches to both sides. Printed in Ravial.
Crepe fabrics
A durable, fairly lightweight, matte and roughto the touch fabric, available in both plain and a variety of prints. This type of fabric will give us drape as well as good shape. It is not an elastic fabric.
The details of the suit are what will give it character and personality. And a good tool, in addition to the pattern, is to play with transparencies. The only requirement to take into consideration is that it is an elastic fabric so that it can adapt to the body, following every movement before returning to its natural shape.
The flamenco dress is the only regional costume that follows the trends set by fashion.
Proof of this are the many catwalks and events that have taken place in January and February 2022, which reactivate the flamenco market after two years of pandemic.
Therefore, today we analyze the many trends that have left us this early season, for the upcoming Fairs and Romerías:
All in red
Perhaps the most flamenco color of all. And although it is a color that always stands out for its flamenco style, this year has stood out above the rest. Whether in plain, polka dots or prints, this year the bet is clear:
SIMOF 2022: schedules, fashion shows and designers of the 27th edition of the flamenco fashion catwalk. Diario de Sevilla.
As specialists in flamenco fashion, we have a large selection of red fabrics for flamenco, among which we highlight:
After the long months of pandemic for the sector, there is one word that stands out: joy. And that desire for joy and festivity was transmitted in many designs, with bold colors and combinations.

As we have been able to extract from the previous point, apart from red, we can highlight bright colors such as yellow, fuchsia, orange and green tones in all their range.

The new season is very marked by the hard times we have had to live. And one of the trends, along with red, is the return to the classics. And there is nothing more flamenco than a polka dot.
A market that is not only closed to Andalusia, but many towns have their own Fairs and Pilgrimages. Without forgetting flamenco as a dance discipline, which also has its specialized fabrics and which we will talk about later.
